Fear of the Future?

It doesn't take much
to plunge into hell -
the fear of the future
when all is not well.

It doesn't take much
to dive into IF
where the fear of the future
makes me frozen and stiff.

It doesn't take much
to fall into WHEN
where the fear of the future
takes me from NOW into THEN.

Yet it doesn't take much
to stay in the day
where the fear of the future
does NOT have a say.

Yes it doesn't take much
to surrender it all
when the fear of the future
reminds me on God I CAN call.
